The CHUERA-496-2 is designed to continuously monitor the grounding connection of personnel working at ESD-controlled stations. It checks the connected wrist straps and grounding paths during operation, helping identify abnormal connection conditions without requiring repeated manual inspection.
The dual-channel design allows two operators to be monitored simultaneously from one monitoring unit.

With two independent monitoring channels, the CHUERA-496-2 can serve two work positions at the same time. Each channel can respond to its corresponding grounding condition, making the unit suitable for shared workbenches and production stations where multiple operators work within the same ESD protection area.
The monitor provides status indications to help operators recognize grounding conditions quickly. The indicator colors include green, red, and blue according to the operating configuration.
An external alarm connection is also available, allowing the monitoring system to be integrated with an additional warning device when a more noticeable alert is required.
The wrist strap monitoring resistance is set within the 750KΩ to 30MΩ range, with factory configuration available. This allows the monitoring threshold to be matched with the requirements of different ESD protection setups.
The monitoring parameters can also be adjusted according to specific application requirements.
The main unit measures approximately 110 × 67 × 31 mm and weighs about 0.2 kg. Its compact housing is suitable for mounting near an ESD workbench, inspection station, or other personnel grounding point.
The 9V DC power supply keeps the system simple to integrate into a workstation grounding setup.
The CHUERA-496-2 can be paired with different accessories according to the workstation configuration. Available options include dual-circuit wrist straps, wrist strap adapters, and photoelectric sensors.
This allows the monitoring system to be adapted to different personnel grounding and workstation management requirements.
The CHUERA-496-2 can be used in:
Electronics assembly workshops
ESD production lines
Electronic component handling areas
PCB assembly stations
Laboratories
Quality inspection workstations
Static-sensitive repair areas
ESD-controlled manufacturing environments
