CHUERA-969A Rotary Temperature-Controlled Soldering Station, 200–480°C

    CHUERA-969A Rotary Temperature-Controlled Soldering Station, 200–480°C

The Chuera 969A is a dial-controlled soldering station with an adjustable temperature range of 200–480°C. Celsius and Fahrenheit markings provide a direct reference when selecting the working temperature, while the front-panel CAL opening gives access to potentiometer calibration. The compact control unit pairs with a lightweight handpiece and a separate iron holder with a sponge tray. A replaceable plug-in heating core and optional 900 Series soldering tips support routine servicing and different soldering tasks. No-load temperature stability is specified at ±2°C.

CHUERA-969A: Temperature Adjustment at the Turn of a Dial

The CHUERA-969A uses a rotary dial for temperature selection, keeping the controls straightforward during manual soldering. The power switch, temperature knob, indicator light and handpiece connector are grouped on the front panel, with the calibration opening positioned below the dial.

The working temperature can be adjusted from 200 to 480°C. This allows the setting to be selected for the solder, component and joint being worked on, rather than using one fixed temperature for every task.

The station has a compact control unit and a separate soldering iron holder. This split arrangement leaves the operator free to position the holder where the handpiece is comfortable to reach.

Celsius and Fahrenheit Markings Around the Control

Both Celsius and Fahrenheit scales are printed around the temperature knob. The operator can read the preferred scale directly when selecting a setting, without changing a display mode.

Turning the dial changes the selected working temperature. The scale provides a setting reference; it is not a digital display of the measured tip temperature.

For work involving different joint sizes, the rotary control makes temperature changes accessible from the front of the station. The selected setting should be matched to the soldering process, with the tip profile chosen to provide suitable contact with the joint.

Temperature Stability and CAL Adjustment

The CHUERA-969A has a specified temperature stability of ±2°C under no-load conditions. This figure describes stability when the iron is not transferring heat into a solder joint. It should not be read as a guarantee of the same temperature variation during every soldering operation.

A recessed CAL opening provides access to the potentiometer used for temperature correction. Calibration is separate from everyday temperature selection: the main dial sets the working temperature, while the calibration adjustment corrects an offset identified through a reference measurement.

This arrangement allows temperature correction without adding calibration controls to the main operating dial.

Lightweight Handpiece with a Separate Rest

The soldering handpiece has a lightweight design and uses heat-resistant components. Its slim form allows the operator to guide the tip around component leads, terminals and other accessible soldering points.

Between joints, the iron can be placed in the separate holder. The holder includes a sponge tray, keeping the resting position and tip-cleaning area together.

Because the holder is not built into the control unit, it can be positioned on either side of the station. The control unit can remain where the dial is easy to see, while the holder sits closer to the operator’s working hand.

Replaceable Heating Core and Soldering Tips

The CHUERA-969A uses a plug-in heating core and removable soldering tips. These serviceable components allow the heating element and tip to be addressed separately during maintenance.

Different tip profiles provide different contact shapes. A pointed profile can reach a small soldering area, while a flat profile provides a broader contact face. Selecting a suitable profile helps the operator place the tip against the joint without relying on one shape for every task.

The following components are listed as optional accessories for this model:

LT909A Soldering Handle
The handpiece option listed for the CHUERA-969A, supplied as a handle-and-cable assembly.

C1321 Plug-In Heating Core
The replaceable heating component listed for the station’s soldering handpiece.

900 Series Soldering Tips
The listed tip series, with several illustrated profiles for different soldering contact areas.

These accessories should be specified according to the required configuration rather than assumed to be included in every package.

Electrical Performance and Operating Specifications

The station operates on AC 220 V at 50 Hz. Its maximum instantaneous power is 75 W, while no-load standby power is specified at 5 W or less. The instantaneous power figure is distinct from a continuous rated-power specification.

The supplied electrical specifications also include resistance-to-ground and potential-to-ground values for the soldering iron.

FAQ

How is the soldering temperature adjusted?

Turn the front-panel knob to select a temperature between 200 and 480°C. The Celsius and Fahrenheit markings around the dial provide a reference for the setting.

Does the station show the actual tip temperature on a screen?

No. The CHUERA-969A uses a rotary dial with printed temperature scales rather than a digital temperature display. The dial indicates the selected setting.

What is the difference between the temperature knob and the CAL opening?

The knob is used for normal working-temperature adjustment. The CAL opening provides access to a separate potentiometer used to correct a temperature offset identified during calibration.

Does the ±2°C specification apply while soldering?

The ±2°C figure is specified for no-load temperature stability. During soldering, the tip transfers heat into the joint, so its temperature response also depends on the tip, joint size and contact conditions.

Can the heating core and tip be replaced separately?

Yes. The product uses a plug-in heating core and removable soldering tips. The listed accessory options include the C1321 heating core and 900 Series soldering tips.

Which handle is listed for this model?

The LT909A handle is listed as an optional accessory for the CHUERA-969A. The supplied handle and spare-part requirements should match the selected product configuration.

Is the iron holder attached to the station?

No. The holder is separate from the control unit. It can be positioned beside the station and includes a sponge tray for tip cleaning.

What power supply is required?

The specified input is AC 220 V at 50 Hz. The 75 W figure refers to maximum instantaneous power, and the specified no-load standby consumption is 5 W or less.
